Susana Muñoz

Researcher

Susana Muñoz is a researcher at the STI and Skin NTD Unit of the Fight AIDS and Infectious Diseases Foundation/Germans Trias i Pujol University Hospital. She is currently a co-investigator in two studies: Trep-AB “Oral and Neuro-Penetrative Alternative Antibiotics for Patients with Syphilis.”, and TrepomAb: Accelerating Syphilis Vaccine Development. She is also the head of clinical coordination and training at the Sexually Transmitted Infections Unit of the Germans Trias i Pujol University Hospital, and serves as the clinical head of the recently established unit for Sexually Transmitted Infections at the CRITS center in Badalona, in collaboration with Primary Care and Gynecology.

Susana holds a Doctorate in Medicine and Surgery from the Universitat Autònoma de  Barcelona, specializing in Family and Community Medicine. She served as a reference in Sexually Transmitted Infections for 8 years in the Ciutat Vella area of Barcelona, located in the Raval Sud center. She has experience in teaching residents and healthcare professionals in the field of Sexually Transmitted Infections.
