Pere Millat-Martínez

Pere Millat-Martínez is a Medical research fellow working in the Barcelona Institute for Global Health (ISGlobal) in the field of public health and malaria. He collaborates in the development and coordination of COVID19 clinical trials in the Fight AIDS and Infectious Diseases Foundation/Germans Trias i Pujol University Hospital.

Pere has relevant research experience designing, implementing and evaluating clinical and epidemiological trials to test the safety and the effectiveness of drugs in the context of mass drug administration for endemic infections. He has vast experience in the coordination of clinical studies to evaluate public health strategies in developing countries.

Pere is a Medical Doctor graduated from the University Rovira i Virgili (Reus, Spain) with the specialization of Internal Medicine and Infectious Diseases. He has an MSc in Infectious Tropical Diseases from the Liverpool School of Tropical Medicine (Liverpool, UK) and he is currently a PhD candidate by the University of Barcelona (thesis directors Dr Oriol Mitjà – FLS, and Dr Quique Bassat – ISGlobal).
