Dan Ouchi

Biostatistician

Dan Ouchi is a biostatistician and data scientist of the AIDS Research Institute IrsiCaixa and is currently providing support in the statistical part of the projects led by Oriol Mitjà.

Dan has worked in five different research institutes during the last 9 years. He has an extensive experience in the analysis of clinical trials, epidemiological, pharmacoepidemiological and pharmacovigilance studies using electronic health records. He has also worked as a data scientist for a tech startup developing AI-based products just before starting his own company. After that, decided to return to research and is currently working as a technical advisor to several research groups.

Dan has a BA in Statistics from the University of Barcelona, a MSc in Biostatistics and bioinformatics from the Polytechnic University of Catalonia and is currently a PhD student from the Autonomous University of Barcelona.
